What is Yoga?

From time immemorial, people have sought to answer these eternal questions. Saints, sages, and prophets of all nations and ages found the answer, saw God, and experienced eternity in their own souls. They taugt through their own experience. All world religions have been built upon their direct experience. To realize the Truth, we must perceive and experience the answer ourselves.

Yoga is Realization and the way and the disciplines to reach Realization. For five thousand years in India, gurus or realized ones, have transmitted the sacred disciplines of Yoga to their disciples. The disciplines of Yoga branches into four main paths. Meditation is central to all four.

In meditation, we directly approach the essence, which lies in the depth of our minds. When meditation deepens, the True Self emerges alone, and we awaken to our true nature - Immortality. The True Self is never born and never dies. It is Pure Consciousness - Eternal Existence. It is the essence of all creatures and has been called "God" throughout history.

In Self-Realization, we will realize that everything is equal, and that all things are manifestations of the One Being. This experience transforms our understanding of life and existence, and our thought, words and actions will be based upon the Truth with any doubt. A Self-Realized one becomes a gift, dedicating his/her life to the happiness of all creation.
