Bhakti Yoga

Bhakti is the manifestation of supreme love for God. Intrinsically, this divine love is immortal bliss. By attaining It, a man becomes perfect, immortal, and satisfied forever. On attaining That, a man does not desire anything else; he grieves no more, he is free from hatred or jealousy; he does not take pleasure in the vanities of life; and he loses all eagerness for self promotion.

-Narada Bhakti Sutra

Bhakti
yoga is a real, genuine search after the Lord. Love is the most intense of all the emotions. Through directing bhakti, dedicating and surrendering one's body and soul to God, everything else naturally falls away. It culminates with union with God. The difference between God and his devotee vanishes. In this experience one perceives how all the world's various names and forms are manifestations of One God."

To practice bhakti, direct the mind uninterruptedly toward God. Fill it solely with God, and direct bhakti towards the entire world.
