Q: How do you love without attachment?
Master: The essence of everything in this world is love. Love originates in the depths of your heart. But when this love is expressed and acted on through the mind, it becomes attachment. True love is without attachment; love without attachment is love without ego. Love with attachment demands return. But if you don’t receive anything, this love can turn to hatred. That is the nature of love with attachment. Therefore, love without attachment is more pure. Love is to give yourself to others for the others’ happiness. In this way, you must love everything without demanding anything in return.
