Satguru Sri Mahayogi Paramahamsa

Satguru Sri Mahayogi Paramahamsa

At the age of eight Sadguru Sri Mahayogi Paramahamsa spontaneously entered nirvikalpa samadhi, complete absorption without any notion or concept, and realized the Atman — True Self. He awoke to Non-dual Reality. After Realization, as an adolescent, he began intensive austerities called tapasya and through these he accomplished and mastered all the branches of Yoga, proving through his own experience that they are all genuine paths to the realization of Supreme Self or God — Everlasting Oneness or Immortal Truth. "The surface of this world always changes and vanishes, but the Reality of this world is Eternal. That is our True Self, God or the Truth. Seek only That, then realize That.
You are That. "

In 1976, followers of the Sadguru established the Mahayogi Yoga Asrama at his home in Kyoto, Japan - the place of his complete awakening. Since then, Sri Mahayogi has been guiding us to the Universal Truth: the primordial Self beyond names, genders, races, countries, and religions.

The Mahayogi Yoga Mission

Upon the invitation of two devotees in June of 1996, Sri Mahayogi visited New York City. The MAHAYOGI YOGA MISSION was established the following December in New York as a not-for-profit spiritual organization.

Sri Mahayogi now spends approximately half the year in Kyoto and the other half in New York City. His presence offers us a rare opportunity to work with and learn directly from a living master. The purpose of the Mission is to disseminate this Universal Teaching of Truth, union with God, as illuminated by Sadguru Sri Mahayogi Paramahansa and as expressed by saints and sages throughout the ages. Currently, the Mission offers Raja Yoga Classes: Asana and Meditation in New York, Kyoto, and Osaka. Satsamghas are held wherever Sri Mahayogi is in residence. The Mission delivers Sri Mahayogi Paramahamsa's teachings and treatises on Yoga through its publications.
