discriminate in all things whether they are the Truth or not, and then to renounce all non-truth this discrimination and renunciation are the characteristics of Jnana Yoga.
What is our True Self? Is it this body, thought, character or talent? We cannot say that these are our true selves, unchanged throughout the past, present and future. By seeking and continually inquiring deeply "Who am I?", the non-self is renounced and the True Self shines forth. This inquiry has nothing to do with what we believe in or how moral we should be. The standard is only whether it is the Truth or not, Eternal or not, and Absolute or not. All the relatives of deception are discriminated and renounced, including the world, its pleasures, and even the "I" consciousness itself. The practitioner of Jnana must be endowed with an indomitable spirit for such Self-inquiry into the Eternal Reality.
